Danville’s 150th anniversary
The preparations for Danville’s 150th anniversary are well on their way. The official opening was held Sunday January 17th.
To highlight this anniversary, their will events held every month of the year, including the “big celebration” organised by the 150th committee on July 3rd and 4th, with a parade, town guided tours and a traditional fair and banquet.
Whether we are long time residents or newly arrived in Danville, we all have chosen to live here and can celebrate together the town’s 150th anniversary. We can all take part and contribute to the celebration by sharing and building on the strengths of our diversity. Our pioneer families worked hard to build what we enjoy today and we can continue to develop the vision these pioneers had when Danville was incorporated as a town in 1860.
We wish that every organisation and/or group take part in the fair wither by offering games, activities, contests, crafts or refreshment to the visitors. Also it is possible to take part in the parade. All contact information is in the Contact page.
Enjoy visiting this site and Happy 150th!
